Grades K/1 – Literacy Interventions (Clearbrook & Godson Elementary) -these grades are combined classes

Focus: Foundational literacy 

Emphasis on early literacy instruction and interventions, confidence, social interaction, and joy in learning- 2 hours per day. Daily outdoor and play‑based experiences- 30 min per day Arts used to deepen understanding 

Grade 2/3 – Literacy Interventions (Clearbrook & Godson Elementary) -these grades are combined classes

Focus: Foundational literacy 

Emphasis on early literacy instruction and interventions, confidence, social interaction, and joy in learning- 2+ hours per day. Daily outdoor and play‑based experiences- 30 min per day. Builds independence and foundational academic confidence. Arts used to deepen understanding 

Grades 4/5 – Literacy Interventions (Clearbrook & Godson Elementary) -these grades are combined classes

Focus: Foundational literacy 

Emphasis on early literacy instruction and interventions, confidence, social interaction, and joy in learning- 2+ hours per day. Builds academic skills, creativity, and collaboration. Daily outdoor and play‑based experiences- 30 min per day. Arts used to deepen understanding 

Grades K/1– Numeracy Interventions - Boosting Confidence & Number Sense (Clearbrook & Godson Elementary) -these grades are combined classes

Focus: Foundational numeracy 

Emphasis on numeracy instruction and interventions, confidence, social interaction, and joy in learning- 2+ hours per day. Builds academic skills, creativity, and collaboration. Daily outdoor and play‑based experiences- 30 min per day. Arts used to deepen understanding 

Grades 2/3 – Numeracy Interventions - Boosting Confidence & Number Sense (Clearbrook & Godson Elementary) -these grades are combined classes

Focus: Foundational numeracy

Reinforces numeracy skills through meaningful, engaging activities- 2+ hours per day. Integration of “Big Ideas” from the curriculum. Builds academic skills, creativity, and collaboration. Arts used to deepen understanding. Daily outdoor and play‑based experiences- 30 min per day.  

Grades (K/1 and 2/3/4) ELL (Clearbrook & Godson Elementary) -these grades are combined classes

Focus: English acquisition 

Foundational reading, writing, and oral language. Daily outdoor and play‑based experiences- 30 min per day. Designed for newcomers and students needing additional support. Arts used to deepen understanding 

Grades (1/2, 3/4/5) - Explorations en Français - French Immersion students only (Clearbrook Elementary) -these grades are combined classes

Focus: Oral language & literacy in French 

Thematic units and hands‑on learning. Supports fluency, vocabulary growth, and confidence. Arts used to deepen understanding. Daily outdoor and play‑based experiences- 30 min per day 

Grades 6–8 Programs (Colleen and Gordie Howe Middle School) 8:30am-12:30pm

June 29-July 3 (M,T,TH,F) (No school on Canada Day- July 1, 2026) 

July 6-16 (M,T,W,TH) 

Literacy Interventions- Reading and Writing (6/7/8)-these grades are combined classes

Focus: Deep literacy learning through focused interventions 

Reinforces reading and writing foundations 2 ½ hours per day. Integration of Science, Social Studies. Language Arts Emphasis on creative communication and hands‑on literacy experiences. Structured as a 3‑week intervention program. Daily outdoor and play‑based experiences- 30 min per day  

Grades (6/7/8) Math interventions – Boosting Confidence & Number Sense-these grades are combined classes 

Focus: Number sense and mathematical confidence- 2 ½ hours per day 

Reinforces numeracy skills through meaningful, engaging activities- 2+ hours per day. Real‑world problem solving and math challenges. Collaborative tasks and math games. Goal: Build confident, capable mathematicians. Daily outdoor and play‑based experiences- 30 min per day  

Grades (6/7/8) Explorations en Français -these grades are combined classes. For students enrolled in French Immersion.

Focus: Speaking, literacy, and fluency 

Conversation, improvisation, and vocabulary building. Strengthens pronunciation and oral communication. Daily outdoor and play‑based experiences- 30 min per day  

Grades (6/7/8) - ELL -these grades are combined classes.

Focus: English language development 

Strengthens reading, writing, and oral communication. Hands‑on, interactive literacy learning. Builds language confidence and social‑emotional development. Daily outdoor and play‑based experiences- 30 min per day
